By now you probably already know that we’re one of the leading providers of spindle parts and repair services, which range from gearbox to ball screw repair, and much, much more. But, did you know that we also enjoy having some fun after a hard day’s work?
The San Marino Rally (or Rally di San Marino) has been held in San Marino since 1970. It’s a part of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, designed to give young amateur drivers opportunities to compete and showcase their skills. It’s also just a lot of fun with roaring engines and excited crowds.
As we hope you already know, this year we formed an exciting partnership with Capellini Electrospindles S.r.l, who is a leading provider of electrospindle manufacture, service and repair around the world. So far, we’ve enjoyed our partnership immensely, and recently celebrated it by sponsoring the Cappellini Electrospindles driver at the San Marino Rally, Davide Cappellini.
Davide Capellini’s co-driver was Giulio Oberti, and they drove a car that deserves to be called a rally legend: a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX 3. It wasn’t Capellini’s first time driving at the San Marino Rally and, after experiencing the blast that it was, we hope he can make it again next year (and we’ll get invited).
We’ve also been busy in a more official capacity, attending conferences and other industry events. For example, at the end of October we attended South-Tec, which brought together over 400 companies who manufacture parts and provide services in fields ranging from aerospace to workforce development. We had a booth there for SPS Spindle Parts and Services, and took full advantage of the opportunity to both discuss our products with potential and current clientele as well as learn from the other participating companies.
If you want to stay up-to-date on the latest news and events related to our company, you should visit our website regularly as well as check out our social media profiles on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. We love to put up pictures and videos about the kind of work we do on a daily basis, but we also update the accounts with fun stuff, like trips to Italian rallies. Stay tuned!
